A lot of the big hosting companies will provision you with a WordPress site with a few clicks and off you go into the blogging stratosphere.

There is a lot behind the scenes with WordPress you should know about, and that it is we provide for your $19.95 a month.

WordPress is an open source blogging system that is continuously updated. WordPress is also a modular system, in that it can be enhanced, or extended by add-on modules called "plugins".

These plugins, written by programmers all over the world, are also regularly updated. Open Society Network utilizes a separate service to continuously monitor your WordPress installation and keep the main program and plugins up to date. This is very important for security reasons and the normal functioning of the your blog.

We also monitor the web server and all it's services and components to make sure your blog stays on line 24/7/365. This is especially important if you run an ecommerce site.

We do provide some add-on services that you may want to consider:

  1. Scheduled Backups
    1. In case you "press some buttons" while you're in your site and something goes wrong, we can restore from a prior backup and get you back online. That is only $2.95 a month.
  2. Web Analytics
    1. We run an additional service called Matomo that tracks the performance of your website. We offer this service as an alternative to Google and other Big Tech providers who resell your data to other marketers and unknown parties. We email reports to you daily on your site's performance and where the traffic is originating. Currently that is only $9.95 a month.
  3. WordPress Installation
    1. If you don't want to face the technical challenges of actually setting up a site, we can do that for you for only $9.95.

If you're interested in these services or others not listed here, simply open a ticket with us and we'll get right back to you!
